I knew this theme would help us create some meaningful self portraits. Photography can be very therapeutic on it's own, but having pictures of yourself  in the midst of the healing process can be even more meaningful.

Holding my sick baby close while also {healing} my weary soul. We mommas gotta find those moments to fill ourselves up in the midst of everything that pulls us in a million directions, constantly giving, serving, loving. There are times we just have to run on empty, but there are a million more times where we can redeem quiet moments to refresh ourselves so we have even more to give.

Admitted yet again. After 10 admissions and 6 surgeries with the 7th planned next month.. it's about time to do some healing.

4 weeks ago I had an emergency csection to deliver my sleeping baby at 33 weeks. From the moment the anesthesia wore off, all I could think about was when I would be able to conceive again. I know it sounds weird, but I just can't imagine ending our childbearing years this way. After being home for 2.5 weeks, I convinced my hubby to let me get a puppy. So, the day my mom moved back into her house, I did it!! Dorothy Paige the maltipoo is doing her best to {HEAL} my broken heart, one puppy antic at a time. This here is her first sink bath. She didn't love it, but what newborn does?!

At first glance this does not seem to fit the theme all that well, but the story behind the story here is that this is something I never did with my own mom or with my older (now an adult) daughter. It's never too early or too late to start making memories and to change the patterns of generations gone by.

Two miscarriages and then the loss of this little one's twin in utero. A lot of {Healing} came with this sweet boy's arrival.
